Pavlos Pavlidis holds a degreen in Agricultural Biotechnology (Agricultural University of Athens), a MSc degree in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology and a PhD in the implementation of computatational methods to detect selective sweeps in natural populations ((https://edoc.ub.uni-muenchen.de/12934/). He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biology in University of Crete and an Affiliated Researcher at ICS-FORTH. His research interests are related to the implementation of statistical and computational methods in Population Genetics and Bioinformatics
